The Braid Theatre Club Gallery hosts an exhibition by local artist Jacqué McNeill B.Des. throughout September.
Here are a few fun facts from Jacqué’s website to help you get to know the artist a little bit better!
- I love to sketch my surroundings outdoors and then work from the sketches to produce the finished painting, especially capturing light on the subject
- I love my animals on my small holding and they are my favourite subject to paint.
- I have a passion for gardening and draw great satisfaction from growing vegetables in my vegetable plot
- A favourite pastime is cooking with my own produce, including some delicious homemade chutneys and jam.
- My artistic endeavours go beyond painting as I am also an accomplished photographer
- I have also moved forward with the digital age and have taught digital photography over the past ten years, teaching people of all ages as well as developing some work of my own.
We think that here series entitles “Farm Animals” is spectacular and would urge everyone, whether they are an artist or not, to call into the Braid Art theatre for a look around.
