One great resource for anyone who has been diagnosed or has a family member with diabetes is the website www.diabetes.org.uk. We especially like this video which has been made with young people who have Type 1 Diabetes. In this clip they were asked about the things which they cannot do because they have diabetes.
An overwhelming answer – Diabetes won’t stop these teenagers from doing anything! Head down to the Ballymena Rugby Club on Friday night to meet other people with diabetes and enjoy a good night out.
