A book club will be held that evening and the focus will be on Northern Lights which is the first in a trilogy called His Dark Materials. We are sure that you are already familiar with these popular writings and now is the perfect time to revisit Pullman’s unforgettable book. The books were made into a film The Golden Compass.
This special event is being held to celebrate the release of Philip Pullman’s most recent book La Belle Sauvage: The Book of Dust Vol 1 which is due to be out in October. The Book of Dust is an exciting and new trilogy which will be a companion to the His Dark Materials story. The first instalment will act as a prequel set ten years before Northern Lights – will we see some of the same characters? We will have to wait and see.
