All proceeds raised from the calendar will go towards helping the UFU reach its goal to raise £100,000 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. Find out more in the video below.

Ulster Farmers Union Calendar 2018 – Supporting Air Ambulance NI

UFU are supporting Air Ambulance NI because of the vital service it provides to the farming and rural community. It helps to get emergency medical care to rural areas quickly. Saving lives and improving outcomes. Since its launch in September 2017, many of its call-outs have been to farming or rural incidents, proving how important this service is to our community.

More about the Air Ambulance:

Air Ambulance NI is the charity that fundraises for and manages the helicopter operations of Northern Ireland’s Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.  It works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the health trusts which provide the medical teams on board its helicopter.  It is a doctor-led service so its value is in getting hospital ER-level treatment to trauma casualties on site in minutes, as well as slashing the travel time for the transfer of casualties to hospital. From its primary operating base at Maze Long Kesh it can reach any part of Northern Ireland in twenty-five minutes.  (Source)
