Ballymena Runners are organising Cross Country Training Sessions in Ballymena. Each session will meet in the Peoples Park in Ballymena on Wednesday nights as 6.30pm.
Ballymena Runners have been meeting, training, running and competing together for many years. They are enthusiastic and successful and I’m sure everyone knows someone who has participated in the Ecos Park Run, of Couch to 5K organised by this local team.
All are welcome and running comes with many benefits. Firstly running in a group keeps you safe rather than running alone. Company will keep you motivated and set a pace which will keep you going when it gets tough. Running in a group can improve your performance as you try to keep up with others and it has loads of health benefits because it gets you out and active. Finally running in a group gives you a sense of community and helps to expand your social circle – you never know who you might meet!
