If you are still on the lookout for some unique Christmas gifts for your friends then a trip to The Larder in Broughshane would be well worthwhile. Ballymena’s first zero waste shop opened earlier this year with the aim of giving shoppers the opportunity to cut down on single use packaging and instead encourage them to bring their own containers to the shop to refill with the products they want.
The Larder Christmas Gift Boxes
This Christmas The Larder is making Christmas shopping that little bit easier for shoppers who want to buy something unique and useful, while at the same time offering an eco-friendly option to the many heavily packaged alternatives. Their gift packs have as little packaging as possible and many items included in them come in refillable containers. Among the packs on offer are facial pamper kits, a zero waste bathroom kit, a tea and treats gift set and more. These gift sets on display in the shop are available to buy or can have them custom made to your requirements.
Also available are the Neon Kactus reusable coffee cups – no more need for single use paper cups when you’re out and about. Other gift ideas are also available including some items from local woodworker, Colville Elliott Woodcraft.
Of course when you’re in The Larder you can stock up on many of the food products you’ll need for your festive catering. There’s a wide choice of food available in the freezer section including frozen fruit and veg and a great selection of pastries (the cinnamon swirls look awesome!) You can also stock up on everything from cereals to spices, nuts and seeds to sweet treats, coffee beans, tea and so much more. Remember to bring your containers with you!
