Athletics NI have announced that Ballymena Runners are their Club of the year. Well done to all the volunteers and runner who give their time to make the club run smoothly.

One of those people is Robert McGaughey. Robert was a founder member of the club and has been instrumental in its formation and growth. A role he still fulfils to this day.
So…. we are doubly delighted to announce that Athletics NI volunteer of the year is Robert McGaughey! Well deserved and we are extremely proud that Athletics NI have recognised his selfless contribution to athletics in Northern Ireland.
Running has become a popular pastimes in the last few years. Ballymena Runners have worked hard to train and compete together and also run the Ecos Park run and the Coach to 5K scheme where they support beginners as they learn to run.
