European Heritage Open Day offers everyone the opportunity to see Behind the Scenes at the Braid Museum in Ballymena. To celebrate European Heritage Open Days 2015 Mid-Antrim Museum staff will take visitors into the nooks and crannies which are normally closed to the public.
Have your own personal tour and see exactly what goes on behind the scenes. Highlights of the tour include a visit to the Mayor’s Parlour and the museum’s collection store
The ‘Behind the Scenes’ Tour in Ballymena will be held on Saturday 12 September beginning at 11am. The tour lasts for an hour and admission is free. Don’t worry about booking, just meet at The Braid Reception/ Visitor Information Centre. When you are there you can also have a look around existing exhibitions including the Interactive Collection Wall, and enjoy the History gallery.
