Preparing for your School formal

In Ballymena lots of students are preparing for their school formal. Ballymena students have lots of different plans for their night out but there is one thing that they all have in common – that is the dress code. Preparing for your school formal shouldn’t be stressful so here our some of our tips to help you out.

Hiring your formal suit

David Bellingham Menswear is the perfect place to head for your formal suit. They have a huge range of style, colours and sizes for you to choose from. Hiring your suit means that you don’t have to waste time shopping around and panicking in the changing rooms. At David Bellingham Menswear the staff are ready to help and can get you measured up and fitted without any stress.

Our tip: Don’t feel tied down to a traditional style. You can stand out from the crowd by hiring a modern suit in an unusual style or colour. We love their blue mohair suit which looks fresh and modern and will set you apart from your schoolmates.

Finding the perfect dress

Chances are that if you are heading to a formal soon you already have you dress picked out. Whether you are buying something stylish and beautiful or having something specially made make sure that you get the right accessories to go along with it. Pick up a beautiful clutch bag and a pair of stunning high heels. If you are wearing new shoes make sure that you have worn them around your house for a few evenings before you wedding to get them broken in and avoid any blisters or sore feet.

Marmalade Boutique on Greenvale Street in Ballymena

If you still haven’t got your dress picked then we suggest going to Marmalade clothing on Greenvale street or Quiz in the Fairhill shopping centre. They have some gorgeous sparkly dresses from floor length gowns to short fun numbers and Marmalade have some beautiful accessories too.

Final preparations

Ladies book your self a hair and make up appointment in Ballymena. You can get everything done at once at the Simon Houston style bar in town. We suggest going all out with a blow dry or pretty up do, a sophisticated nail colour and some dramatic eye make up. We love this transformation which was shared on the Simon Houston style bar Facebook page.

Gentlemen can head to the Wellington Barber  on Wellington Street for a quick tidy up or restyle.

Finally our last advice is to get your phone battery charged up so you can take lots of snaps and selfies as you celebrate your last year at school in Ballymena!
