The Dojo offers martial arts training to children in the Ballymena area. They now have arranged a 5 week Women’s Self Defence Course. Starting on 16th January at 19.00 – 20.30 the classes are sure to get booked up so if you are interested act now.

Thanks to funding from Sport NI we are able to offer you this excellent opportunity to participate in a top-rated Personal Protection course at a low-cost rate. This course is ideal for women experiencing difficulties in their work situation, young women and girls moving to a more independent phase of their lives, anyone wanting to feel more confident in their ability to look after themselves and their family.
5 week Women’s Self Defence Course
Senior Coach at the dojo, Shihan Toney has a packed resume spanning thirty years which includes Close Protection/ Bodyguard training and consultancy work for the Health & Social Services Board and the Northern Ireland Office.
This together with his wealth of experience of supplying tailored Self Defence courses for Women’s Groups and senior girls classes in schools, makes this an opportunity not to be missed.
The entire course of five weeks will cost only £25 pp – a significant reduction on the normal cost.
The course consists of :-
Four weeks 7-8.30pm of practical advice, simple demonstrations and easy to learn techniques which are effective for diffusion of difficult situations and breakaway. Handouts will be provided to give additional guidance for specific situations.
The fifth week will be 7-9pm to allow for recap of important points and certificate presentation at the end.
