The Jill Todd Trust was set up in 2011 in commemoration of the very talented 23 year old photographer. Jill, from Northern Ireland, tragically passed away from cancer. The Trust works closely with Friends of the Cancer Centre and it’s objectives include raising funds for research into a cure for cancer. Part of that fundraising has been done through a NI wide event called ‘Ask An Architect’
Ballymena business, Garage Door Systems, is one of the sponsors of the Jill Todd Trust and Ask An Architect. We asked them to explain more.
“The Jill Todd Trust was set up by Jill’s parents, Barrie & Trish, after her untimely death. Their aim for the Trust is to raise funds and awareness for Friends of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital. This funding will assist medical research to try to find a cure for cancer.
The Ask An Architect event has become a large part of that fundraising. This year’s Ask An Architect ran from 13th to 19th May and raised the fantastic sum of £7,200.”
How does it work?
“Many architects across Northern Ireland have registered to be involved in this annual event. During the week of the event they offer a one hour consultation to anyone needing their services in return for a £40 donation by the client to The Jill Todd Trust. Are you a chartered architect in the Ballymena area or indeed anywhere in NI? Would like to be part of this event in 2018? Find out more about the fundraiser on the Ask An Architect website here.
You can get in touch with them by phoning 028 9023 2524 or emailing info@askanarchitect-ni.com”
