“People often think that dementia is just about memory loss. These information sessions are to provide information on dementia and will make people aware of the signs, symptoms and behaviours. It will also cover the help and support that is available not just from the Alzheimer’s Society but also from other agencies such as benefits etc. 99% of people who come along feel more able to plan with and for the person they care for, now and in the future.”
The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They ‘provide information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change for people affected by dementia’.
