Ahoghill Patchwork Group Exhibition on Saturday 4th August 2018 in Ahoghill Community Centre from 10am – 4pm.
This is going to a fantastic display of wedding dresses and patchwork quilts covering many decades. The patchwork quilts date back as far as the 1880’s! For those of you who remember Morton’s Mill in the town, some of the quilts are made from their flour bags.
Ahoghill Patchwork Group have been busy themselves. They have been making a quilt specifically with this Royal Wedding themed exhibition in mind. It is made from a double wedding chain pattern.
The display of wedding dresses at the exhibition will be equally as stunning, and well worth a visit to the Community Centre in Ahoghill. The selection on display will be from as early as the 1940’s.
So why not go along and support the group who have been working hard to get this exhibition organised. Join them as they use it to celebrate the Royal Wedding. There will be tea and refreshments provided.
