Carey Cleaning Machines, a Ballymena-based manufacturer and distributor of bespoke industrial cleaning machines has invested significantly in the development of a multi-purpose site creating new engineering jobs, with support from Ulster Bank.
Carey Cleaning Machines, which has been trading for over 10 years, has made a £300,000 investment in the purchase and development of a new site for its manufacturing and distribution centre in Ballymena. The site also features the company’s head offices, factory floor and R&D facility.
The investment supported the creation of a further two engineering roles, bringing the company’s staff count to 10.
Future-proofing the business through the development of a dedicated innovation centre, Carey Cleaning Machines is shifting focus to the manufacture of new cleaning solutions, technologies and bespoke cleaning machines modified to tackle new, more challenging hazards and to address tightening health and safety restrictions.
The company specialises in the modification of industrial cleaning machines to suit the individual requirements of its customers.
“Carey Cleaning Machines operates in a niche market and is a solutions-oriented company. We’re more than a third-party re-seller of industrial cleaning machines. We create bespoke cleaning solutions tailored to the individual needs of each customer. The process begins with an initial site survey where we work with the customer to identify and outline their individual requirements. From there we liaise with our in-house engineers to develop a build suited to the customer and manufacture a prototype for demonstration before progressing to full production.”
William Carey, Managing Director at Carey Cleaning Machines also said building a new facility was “necessary” for the company due to the unique nature of its business and individual site requirements.
“We were unable to locate a building that suited the needs of the business, so we invested and built a facility that would best serve the company now and provide opportunity for future growth and expansion,” he explained.
