When your ideas are spreading, when your work is remarkable, when your organization has built a social ratchet that works, one of the side effects will be a significant social media presence. People will talk about you in ways that they like to talk… online.
The above quote from Seth Godin got me thinking…
Maybe we need to move away from ‘building a social media presence’ or trying to figure out how we can leverage the Internet for the benefit of our business, organisation or even for our town.
Maybe we need to get back to a better product. A better service. An honest product. A valuable product. A business that works. Something worth talking about. Worth sharing, photographing, instagramming or re-tweeting.
Something remarkable perhaps?
Imagine better ideas locally instead of flogging dead horses and money for old rope.
When you are doing something great, you won’t need a marketing budget or a social media strategy.
Ballymena, when your work is remarkable then we might see this town revived.
