We’ve been having a look around social media for things to do over Easter in Ballymena and around the province. Here’s a few suggestions –
1 – One the kids will love –

2 – Easter Holiday Scheme at Seven Towers Leisure Centre – 24th – 26th April from 10am – 3pm.
‘A fun range of activities for 6 – 14 year olds, including multi-sports, swimming (age 8+) and arts activities. Find out more on the MEA website here.
3 – If you want a family friendly event close to Ballymena there’s the Easter Eggstravaganza at Galgorm Castle Fairy Trail. Check their Facebook page here for more details.
4 – If you fancy a road trip you could head to Carnfunnock Country Park in Larne. They have a full programme of events planned over the Easter weekend. There’s a children’s Easter Play Day on Good Friday. On Easter Sunday there are several events including a Kids Easter Egg Roll Competition – bring your own decorated hard boiled egg if you want to take part in this one! There’s also lots planned at Carnfunnock for Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday including a Mystical Easter Park Hunt for the under 10’s. Check the Mid and East Antrim Council programme for Carnfunnock Country Park here for more details.
5 – Royal Gun Salute at Castle Green, Carrickfergus – Easter Monday at 12 noon. This free event is in celebration of the Queen’s 93rd birthday. An event for all ages but you are encouraged to arrive early to secure a position in the viewing area.
So there you go, we hope we have given you some inspiration as you plan what things to do over Easter in Ballymena or further afield. Happy Easter everyone.
