The Ballymena Show has returned for another excellent year. The Ballymena Show will run this year from Friday 27th May until Saturday 28th May. The schedule is jam packed as always. Farming is an important vocation in Ballymena and our town has hosted the agricultural Show for many years. The Ballymena Show holds lots of great memories for many locals – who remembers getting out of school half day on a Wednesday to attend? Good times! Here is what you can expect to see this year: On Friday from 10.30am – Horse Jumping / Ponies(WH) and from 4pm – Trade Exhibits, Sheep Shearing, Poultry & Crafts. Music by Shauna McStravock & Friends Vintage Tractor Display Thrashing Display Fun Dog Show Children’s Fancy DressTreasure Hunt Young Farmers – County Competition Saturday brings the Main Day of Show which includes everything from Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Horses, Ponies, Poultry Crafts, and Baking Young Farmers – It’s a Knockout Competition Floral Art demonstrations Speciality Foods, Amusements and more! Make sure you attend the Home Industries & Floral Art section of the Ballymena Show. Agricultural Shows are famous for the promotion of ‘Crafts’ and Ballymena show has a tradition of working with local schools, Womens Institutes, YFCs, Homes and Day Centres to display the talents of the local people with Baking, Needlework, Crafts, Photography, Painting, Poetry and Flower Arranging.
