The Dogs Trust Ballymena based microchipping unit is celebrating a microchipping landmark. Their mobile microchipping team have reached the total of 1000 dogs chipped in a year throughout Northern Ireland! The team are based at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre on Teeshan Road just outside Ballymena. The unit also run events throughout Northern Ireland in a bid to ensure responsible dog ownership in local communities. Northern Ireland was the first part of the UK to make microchipping compulsory for all dogs in 2012.
